Waiting to hear from everybody in the EU
The EU objected to the fact that 5 of the 28 member states are not part of the Visa Waiver Program and threatened to require that US citizens obtain visas to travel to Europe.
The EU met on April 12 to decide what to do. Their decision is give the European Parliament and the 28 member governments until July 12 for to offer advice on what the next step should be.

US citizens heading to Europe may have to apply for a visa before travelling
Today, you can travel to any of the 28 countries that are members of the European Union (EU) for up to 90 days without a visa.
That may change soon.
The EU is meeting on April 12 to decide if they are going to change the rule and require citizens of the United States and Canada to get a visa to travel to any EU country.

We cannot allow fear to dictate our travels
The world is a scary place. And it gets scarier if you are thinking about traveling to another country. Especially travel to a country where a terrorist attack has occurred.
We have seen the horrible and frightening terrorist attacks in Brussels, Turkey, and Paris. More people are asking, should I travel to another country?
Let me telling you how I answer that question. My wife and I are traveling to Spain in a few weeks. One of my sons is going to Ireland on a study abroad program this summer. Two of my brothers-in-law are going to Greece and Italy. My sister’s work for the US government involves trips to Africa. And my brother lives and works for a US company in Angola.
