What universities must do to protect their students

The blog, Dialogues on Duty of Care has a very good piece entitled “Caring for Students, One Trip at a Time.”  The article talks about what universities must do to meet their duty of care obligation to protect students while on study abroad activities.

The writer says universities need, at a minimum to provide three kinds of support to avoid negligence. They are to provide insurance coverage, have a global assistance provider that can be reached 24/7/365, and a combination of individual traveler tracking, global emergency action plans and travel risk training for key staff.
