US Customs app speeds airport process for US citizens

 

The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has a fast new way for travelers entering the US. It is called Mobile Passport Control (MPC). It is the first app authorized by the US government for traveler entry into the US.

What it does

Mobile Passport Control (MPC) is an authorized CBP smartphone and tablet app for US and Canadian citizens. MPC, an automated process for going through the Customs arrival procedure, makes the entry process faster.

EU Postpones Decision on Requiring Visas for Americans

Waiting to hear from everybody in the EU

 

The EU objected to the fact that 5 of the 28 member states are not part of the Visa Waiver Program and threatened to require that US citizens obtain visas to travel to Europe.

The EU met on April 12 to decide what to do. Their decision is give the European Parliament and the 28 member governments until July 12 for to offer advice on what the next step should be.

You May Need a Visa to go to Europe

US citizens heading to Europe may have to apply for a visa before travelling

 

Today, you can travel to any of the 28 countries that are members of the European Union (EU) for up to 90 days without a visa.

That may change soon.

The EU is meeting on April 12 to decide if they are going to change the rule and require citizens of the United States and Canada to get a visa to travel to any EU country.
